Last night my husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat after such a busy weekend we'd had no time for shopping. so we headed up to Villa Picasso. We thought it would be pretty authentic Italian when we headed up the stairs and passed an Italian nonna in an apron heading down. We went early, so were the only couple there for almost the whole time. We had the tasting plate as an entrée to share, which was quite yummy. My husband had the gnocchi, and really enjoyed it. I had the chili king prawn linguine. I have not seen prawns that size (big) for a long, long time! We really didn’t need the entrée in the end, as we ended up taking a doggy bag home with a bit of both our meals, a rarity for my husband, who normally can finish his and the end of mine! The linguine was really nice. Creamy, lovely sauce, firm and juicy and big prawns, and cherry tomatoes. Very nice. It was about $70 for the meal all up, pity they aren’t in the Entertainment Book, but we just couldn’t be bothered looking for somewhere else that was and that we still had to use up.
We quite liked the room; we would never have thought all that was up there when viewing it from the street. We will be going back again.
